Power of
Thought
Learn how to think your way to
happiness!
Understanding the
power of thought is central to a happy life. It seems
clear that our thinking literally creates our world, and
if this is so why not think the way we'd like to
live?
Whether you are a
die hard sceptic or a true believer in all things new
age, it seems undeniable that the power of thought plays
a substantial role in the make-up and direction of your
life. No matter your personal philosophies, religious
beliefs or educational background, you cannot escape the
fact that what you feel and think about has a fundamental
affect on the events and circumstances of your
life.
Thought power is
central to creating your reality. Everything in your
outside or physical world has its beginnings in the
unseen, inner world of your thoughts and beliefs. This is
the essence of thought power. Put another way, the
conditions and circumstances of your life are as a result
of your thoughts and beliefs. Every aspect of your life,
from the state of your finances to the state of your
health and your relationships, is accurately revealing
your thoughts and your beliefs. To take charge of your
destiny, you must learn to control the nature of your
everyday thoughts. By doing so you will be able to
attract into your life anything you wish as you come to
realise that your thoughts create your
reality.
Developing a
clear understanding as to how the power of thought
effects every area of your life will serve to provide not
only the "desired" outcomes experienced in your physical
world but will also provide you with unfailing and
timeless wisdom that will prove to be of immense benefit
toward enhancing your mental, emotional and spiritual
growth, understanding and fulfilment as
well.
It's All
In The Mind
Most people have
it back to front, believing that they feel or think a
certain way because of their circumstances, not knowing
the truth that it is their thought power that is creating
those very circumstances, whether wanted or unwanted. For
example, you bump into a friend you haven't seen in a
while. You chat for a bit and then they promise to call
you later. As the day goes by and they don't call, you
start thinking all kinds of things like 'they're not
going to call, I'm sure they never really liked me
anyway, that's why we drifted apart' or 'perhaps I'm too
selfish and that's why they don't like me'. You end up
having a miserable day, you're wound up and stressed -
thinking you're a terrible person. The next morning your
friend calls and tells you they're sorry they didn't ring
the day before but they got a puncture and when they
finally got home, their son was ill and they were up all
night! So you see, your thoughts created your
circumstances and by realising that your thoughts create
your reality, you will give yourself the power to create
the changes you need to see happen in your
life?
You Have
Unlimited Thought Power
The greatest
mystics and teachers that have walked the Earth have told
us that everything is energy. This fundamental Truth has
now been undeniably confirmed by modern science.
Scientists now know that everything in our Universe is
made up of pure energy vibrating at different rates, that
includes plants, animals and people and your thoughts are
energy too. The higher the rate of vibration the finer
the outcome, so the energy which makes up our thoughts
for instance, is vibrating at a very high rate and cannot
be seen. The energy which makes up our bodies vibrates
more slowly, is much denser, and can be seen and felt. If
you were to look at anything that you now believe to be
‘solid’ under a microscope, you would find that at finer
and finer levels, what appears to be solid to the naked
eye is nothing more than pure, vibrating energy. And all
of this energy is magnetic, attracting like things to
it.
William Walker Atkinson, an American
writer who was an influential figure in the early days of
the New Thought Movement, is well known for his books on
the power of the mind and using it to achieve success.
Though his books were written in the early years of the
twentieth century, they are still popular up to this day.
Atkinson told us that "where mind is static energy,
thought is dynamic energy - two phases of the same
thing". Charles Haanel, the author of the
book The
Master Key System as well as other books about
improving the human condition and regarded by many as the
"Father of Personal Development" went on to say that
"thought power is the vibratory force formed by
converting static mind into dynamic mind". Your thoughts
are alive. Each time you entertain a specific thought,
you emit a very specific, corresponding frequency or
energy vibration.
